Lynch Syndrome Run In Our Family, Regular Testing Keeps Us Healthy

By Anne May

Colon cancer killed my father at age 54 in 1975. I was 16 years old. In 2019, my then 29 year old daughter was diagnosed with rectal cancer. Genetic testing for both of us was clear: Lynch Syndrome, MSH2. Early treatment and rigorous follow-up saved her from invasive surgeries and my girl is fine. But we'll need regular testing to keep us healthy. I'm so thankful that information and awareness about Lynch is a core mission of The Jacqueline Rush Foundation.
